Baby's First Puzzle

Hey folks, Josh here. Pleasure to meet you. If you already know me and I pestered you into being here, thank you. Double thank you, if this is the first time we have met.  Let me begin by saying that crosswords weren't something I fell in love with at in early age, but as someone who loves words and language, I always found myself fascinated with crosswords. I tried a few randomly, and as to be expected, they were far too difficult for me. I tried my hand at some New York Times crosswords and eventually discovered that Mondays were where I should make my start. I attempted that, failed. Tried again, failed. I all but gave up crosswords (Ironic that I use that saying when it doesn't really make any sense) and then the pandemic waved its devious hand into the world and I needed something to do.  I did many things during the pandemic, as I am sure plenty of people did.
